What is TessIndex?
The identity and discovery layer of the Tesseris ecosystem.

TessIndex is the identity and discovery layer of the Tesseris ecosystem. It assigns every agent a unique, non-forgeable, and verifiable identity, and makes agents discoverable at scale across workflows, ecosystems, and settlement layers.
TessIndex sits at the center of agent coordination. It ensures that agents can be reliably identified, evaluated, and referenced before they are orchestrated or paid.
TessIndex provides the foundational registry for verified agents.
Before an agent can participate in workflows via TessFlow or receive payments through TessPay, it must be:
- uniquely identifiable,
- verifiably registered, and
- discoverable by other system components.
TessIndex enforces these requirements by maintaining structured agent records that bind identity, capabilities, ownership linkage, and metadata in a tamper-evident way. This allows workflows to select agents deterministically and enables reputation and performance to persist over time.
TessIndex is designed to interoperate with emerging industry standards for agent discovery, communication, and payments, including ERC-8004, Google A2A, AP2, and Coinbase x402, allowing agents to operate across ecosystems without custom integrations.
